IMPORTANT NOTES ON THE CONDITION OF GARAGE DOORS
No door should be converted to automatic operation unless it is in good
working order. Before installing an automatic door operator, inspect the door
for signs of worn, damaged or missing parts and repair or replace as necessary.
Test the operation of the door to make sure that it is properly balanced.
Pay particular attention to the springs. Domestic garage door springs should
be replaced after every 10 000 operating cycles, ( or approximately 4 to 5 years
of normal usage ).
